Well, guess who's been window shopping again?
Although I don't have as much time for playing around with make-up with my little boy to look after, that doesn't mean that my obsession with the stuff has stopped.
I still lust after pretty potions and powders, and as usual I have a wishlist as long as my arm of products I want to try! Lots of treats have been catching my eye lately, from high end to high street - great makeup is everywhere at every price point at the moment. It's very hard for a beauty junkie to resist!
Here's my pick of autumn beauty stunners that I'd like to add to my collection.
MAC Sculpt and Shape Powder
Okay, so contouring has been done to death at this point, but I'm still keen on it, if only so I can continue to fake cheekbones nature hasn't seen fit to bless me with!
I can't believe this is the first time Mac have brought out a duo powder like this, as they are all over everywhere in the drugstore, it's quite slow off the mark, but then again perhaps they liked making double the sales when customers brought separate products!
But when Mac do something, they do it well even if they're late to the party. So I'm very tempted to give this a go and save some space in my bulging daily makeup bag.
It looks like a nice, natural matte finish that would be perfect for everyday. It looks like there is a low level pearlescent glow to the highlighter, but nothing too over the top.
The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely hydrating facial oil
I'm a massive fan of facial oils, especially in the colder months to banish any dryness and irritation and really plump and nourish the skin.
They give a fantastic healthy glow, and this new release from The Body Shop has caught my eye. They've been hitting it out of the park with skincare lately and really releasing some great finds.
This combines three types of oil- black cumin seed oil from Egypt, camellia seed oil from China and rosehip seed oil from Chile - for deep hydration. They're cold pressed, which preserves more of the natural properties from each.
I like the restrained new packaging design they've gone for as well, this would be a real treat to use on dark winter mornings.
Lacura Caviar 3 Minute Cell Renewal Mask
The interweb has been blowing up about how amazing this bargainous new range from Aldi is and now I'm dying to give it a try. It's based very closely on premier brand La Prairie and their caviar offering, but for so much less!
There's a day cream, a night cream and a concentrated treatment, but I'm most interested in this mask, although at the prices they are I'd probably want to try one of everything!
The 3 Minute Mask claims to attack fine lines and plump the skin and give a more even tone, using caviar and snow algae, which is supposed to stimulate collagen production.
It comes with a little brush to apply to damp skin, and then after three minutes you rinse it off and reveal exfoliated, regenerated, softer skin. It sounds like the ideal treatment for a time starved new mother.
And the reviews are saying it's very nearly as good as it's pricey namesake - but it's just £6.99 compared to almost £300 for the La Prairie. Who wouldn't want to try it out at that price?
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle Eye Wand
I've always had a terrible under eye area- a combination of genetics, too much salty food, not enough water and wretched kidney function- and having a five week old baby and all the lack of sleep that entails has made them a hundred times worse.
It makes me look knackered and older than I am, which I hate. So much so that I seriously want to save up for tear trough Botox shots. Until then, I will be relying on eye masks and concealers to do the heavy lifting.
We all know how beaut CT products are and the lady herself said this product was five years in the making.
It's a treatment and cosmetic in one, which I really like. It combines a hydrating eye cream that smooths out the under eye area, with an illuminating concealer packed full of light reflecting micro particles to give that eight hours sleep look in a couple of clicks.
The cream has a whole host of luxe ingredients- moisturising hyaluronic acid, acanthium for cellular repair, cyclodextrins to life the eye dome and rice protein to reduce bags. The concealer has mother of pearl to add radience, polypeptides to reduce dark circles over time, and elastomer to smooth over wrinkles.
All in her trademark classy ivory and rose gold packaging with integrated brushes. Love it!
Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt and Blend Brush Collection
Makeup Revolution must be pretty much my favourite drugstore cosmetic brand, and I've never tried a product from them that didn't deliver wonderfully.
They launched a range of brushes a while back, and now they've launched their 'ultra' brush range, which is a bit more deluxe and features these super shiny metallic handles that are clearly a response to the Real Techniques Bold Metals line.
This little set is to cover your face product needs. For just £14.99, it contains a large, flat top brush, ideal for foundation or powder, a medium slant brush for contouring work and a precise rounded brush for blush or highlighter, along with a firm foundation sponge.
With soft synthetic bristles and engraved copper coloured handles, this looks way more than its price tag.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet
These have been out for a while but for some reason reason they've just appealed to me this month! I must admit I'm not normally a fan of a matte lip, I find most of the formulations uncomfortable to wear and I think a little sheen is way more flattering flattering for the most part.
But the idea of a velvet finish just goes so well for autumn and the colours in this range are ever so pretty, especially the mauve toned nude which I really want to try.
They're supposed to have incredible budge proof powers, which really appeals to me as I definitely do not have time to reapply lip colours at the moment. A one shot solution giving an intense hit of colour just sounds awesome.
Bourjois used to do a product called So Delicate Velvet Lip Cream (does anyone remember that? ) that I really liked and this is almost the new evolution of that formula.
There are some great colours in the range and I plan to pick up a couple of shades on my next Boots run.
MUA Luxe Utopia Palette
MUA are my other favourite drugstore makeup brand, and they've seriously ramped up their offer for autumn. Just launched under their Luxe line are these amazing looking shadow palettes.
There are two - Paradise, which features vivid pastel shades, and Utopia, which is this little beauty packed full of bronzes, golds and champagne shimmer shadows.
I love the packaging and the look of the shadows, which are quite similar to the colours in the Mac Pearlfusion Veluxe mini palette I picked up a few months back.
MUA shadows have always impressed me with their buttery soft consistency and rich colour payoff- they are seriously as good as shadows that cost triple the price! So this gorgeous brick of shimmer colours is going to have to be mine - the good news is its just £8.00!
So that's my beauty wishlist of autumn products. What do you have your eye on at the moment? Any new finds I should know about? Let me know what you've discovered lately.
