Hello my beauties!
I have a bit of a sneaky lunchtime beauty haul to share today. Normally, I’m chained to my desk and lunchtime, and around this time of year I begin to feel like I never see daylight!
So this week I made it my mission to get outside at lunchtime. At the moment, I work in the city centre, so ‘outside’ is more ‘up and down the local high street’ than anything else, and that resulted in some beauty purchases I wanted to share.
I’m actually just about to move jobs and I won’t be based in the city any more so lunchtime shopping will soon be a thing of the past (I would say my bank manager will be pleased, but there’s always online shopping…).
Here’s my drugstore haul. Some items are my must-have repurchases and others are new products. Here’s what I got…
The November Birchbox landed a few weeks back, but I’ve been so busy getting to grips with my new job that I barely looked at it!
I rediscovered it on the kitchen table a few days ago and it was almost like receiving it again, as I’d completely forgotten what was inside.
These boxes just fluctuate so much as to whether the contents are any good – and September’s box left me really underwhelmed, So would November’s get back the magic?
Read on for a peek inside….
Boom, sometimes life comes at you like a freight train.
Things all seem to happen at once and you find yourself just sort of battling through, without much time to rest and reflect. Then you look up one day and all this time has just evaporated.
That’s kind of where I’m at right now. Life has been accelerating, and the past few months have slipped away before I realised. Blogging has taken quite a backseat because daily life demanded more and more time and when I did get a break I felt so drained, I had no energy left for luxuries like hobbies!
So because I haven’t written anything much in a while – or any of the personal content I really enjoy seeing on blogs I read - I thought I’d revive the ‘Life, Lately’ posts I used to do a while back and explain what I’ve been up to the past few months…
Anyone
who knows me is in no doubt that I'm a complete lash addict. But it's
more than just cosmetic. Having a great flutter going on makes a
difference to my mood! When I'm wearing lashes, I feel that I need less
other makeup because they make a really subtle statement.
I
wear natural looking strip lashes most days- I don't get on with
permanent lash extensions very well, and I'm so speedy at applying them
now, it's quicker than mascara for me!
And I pretty much always shop at falseeyelashes.co.uk. It has all the major brands from Ardell to Eyelure to Red Cherry, and over 1000 styles in stock.
Plus, free 1st class delivery and the dispatch is always super quick. They are one of my favourite companies and I've mentioned them quite a few times before, just because I've always been delighted with the service.

So when they contacted me to see if I'd like to review a couple of pairs I jumped at the chance to try something new.
