Letters from Lake Garda | Day 6 OOTD

Wednesday, 10 May 2017

Shock horror, I'm a few days late with my final holiday outfit post. We've been back since Monday afternoon, but on our last evening in Italy we just wanted to relax.

Monday was wiped out with travelling - why does it always make you feel so tired and wretched, even though youre literally sitting there doing nothing?

Then straight back into reality and a busy day at work, so the posting had to take a back seat.

We've had an amazing week spending time as a family. Theo is growing and changing so fast at the moment - every day its a new word or something hes learn to do - so it was so precious to spend all that time with him uninterrupted.

Having said that, a holiday with a toddler is extremely hard work and we definitely havent relaxed in the conventional sense of lying on a sun lounger reading books! Like all things with parenting, I'd say 'hard work but rewarding' about sums it up!

On the last day, we did as close to nothing as possible, just taking a couple of walks by the lake shore and up into the old town to soak up our last moments in Garda. Having said that I'm very sure we'll be back in the near future as this place has so much to offer.

Day Six

Grey patterened camisole | Jack Wills
White linen shorts | The White Company
Tan suede gladiators | Public Desire
Erika matte sunglasses | Ray Ban
Neverfull GM tote | Louis Vuitton

It was a day to keep it casual, so I got out my white linen shorts. I generally advise saving these for the last couple of days, when your legs have had time to get a bit of a tan (although I confess mine is mostly Dove gradual tinted moisturiser!). They paired well with a simple floaty cami, my comfortable flat gladiator sandals and my roomy tote bag.

I've quite enjoyed a little summer dressing because goodness knows we don't often get the chance in Britain. I have so much stuff that if never quite gets warm enough to have on in the UK that very rarely comes out unless its on holiday!

I hope you've enjoyed a little peek into my holiday style and please do link me to any outfit posts youve done recently!
