I'm writing to you from the shores of the fabulous Lake Garda, where we are currently taking a family holiday.
Work and home life can get a bit crazy sometimes, so its always special to be able to escape for a few days.
As you may have gathered, Italy is a really special place for our family and one we love to visit. We last came to Garda when I was pregnant, and at the time I vowed to come back with my baby to enjoy the deep peace, awe-inspiring views and il dolce vita that it has to offer.
We weren't staying here last time, so its been good to spend some proper time.
I'm going to be doing a daily outfit post while we're here for the next week. I love seeing what people's holiday style is when they're away, so if you have any similar posts, please link me below.
At home, I'm quite monochrome but on holiday I shift my palette to white, tan, pale blue and navy. Just putting those colours on makes me relax!
Day One
Linen shirt dress | Andrea Jovine
Tan suede gladiators | Public Desire
Small tan bag | Michael Kors
'Havana' Sunglasses | Celine
The sun shone brightly today, and we were taking it super easy, with nothing on the agenda for the first day more than wandering around the lake shore and the pretty ancient town of Pescheria Del Garda and grabbing a gelato (I had Ginger Mango & Ameretto, in case you're asking!).
This easy, breezy shirt dress is loose and comfortable - just the thing for relaxed, warm days (although all the Italians are still wrapped up in their coats and scarves...but its over 23 degrees, which is warm to me!).
These tan gladiators are also easy to wear - I don't do heels at the best of times, let alone on holiday. And a little cross body bag and some statement shades finish the look off. These are my Victoria Bechkam-inspired shades, as she always wears this style!
And that's it, I'll be back tomorrow with some more holiday fashion.
I'm totally jealous you're in Lake Garda, it's very high on my list of places to visit!! My parents are off there next week so I'll be passing on your tips! The tan Michael Kors little bag is gorgeous. Perfect for every day holiday essentials! Lovely photos, can't wait to see more!

Mmmmm gelato! There's a gelato place in sunny Aberdeen that you've given me a hankering for.
ReplyDeleteYou always look great no matter what you wear. I bet you must take ages with packing, planning out all these gorgeous outfits.

This place looks flippin' stunning. I've never been to Italy, but I've heard lots about Lake Garda and would love to go one day.
ReplyDeleteAs for the outfit, this is my absolute favourite of all of them. The sandals are RIGHT up my street, and that dress looks so comfortable!! You look wonderful, as always.
