The Italian Style Diaries | Lunch at Montaione

Sunday, 22 September 2019

Quite often, my favourite looks are the simple, clean, classic ones. They are certainly what I feel the most comfortable in, and feeling comfortable, as we all know, is the secret sauce to looking and feeling good.

So for a day of hanging out in the beautiful town of Montaione, having a long, lazy lunch at l'Ciampa, a trattoria with amazing views over the Tuscan hills, a simple shorts, sandals and cami combination was ideal.

This was a really tonal look with white and powder blue, which felt fresh and co-ordinated.

Powder blue chiffon cami | Topshop
White linen shorts | The White Company
Silver and nude studded sandals | Topshop
Panama hat | Paul Smith
Nude leather bracelet | Paul Smith
'Rebel Stone' bracelet | Stella & Dot
Le Pliage tote in Graphite | Longchamp

Finding shorts which hit in the right place on the leg can actually be much harder than you'd think, so I love that this pair are the perfect length.

They're so easy to wear, and paired really well with a draped cami, some simple sandals and my workhorse tote bag.

This outfit is as unfussy as they come and just right for looking simple but pulled together.

We had a gorgeous meal and then rolled back to the villa for an afternoon by the pool - absolute heaven!
