I was going out for drinks and dancing with my husband and a couple of our friends, Rich and Katie. Sort of in two minds about the whole thing (it definitely takes a lot to pull it off whilst not looking like you're touting for business!), but I decided to take a deep breath -and several shots of vodka- and get on with it.
And you know what? I loved it! Once I got over the fear, I felt really nice in it. The length and shape of the skirt were really flattering on and the whole ensemble was a lot easier to wear that I thought. Again, excuse the wobbly shots in the mirror. I've just bought a tripod to make pictures for this blog a bit easier, but it hasn't arrived yet, so you'll have to put up with my bad photography in the meantime.

I'm glad I was brave enough to try this, its definitely a tick towards my 'not being so vanilla with style' box! Ultimately, like most things, it comes down to what you match it with to make it work for you.
